EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Here's the full long-format version for Indigo Barrier, matching the structure and keeping the psoriasis language in safe, traditional-use territory:

Made with 100% grass-fed, grass-finished tallow and a handful of traditional botanicals, this balm is concentrated by design — made for skin that won't settle on its own, and leaves nothing behind but calm, supported skin.

What makes it work

Concentrated and slow to melt, it warms between your fingertips and presses into skin without rubbing away — built for targeted spots that need real, repeated attention. It's naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, the same nutrients your skin uses to support its own barrier. The formula is built around indigo (Qing Dai), a botanical with centuries of traditional use for stubborn, flaky, or scaling skin, alongside gotu kola and Oregon grape root — both long valued in herbal tradition for skin that struggles to heal. Calendula and comfrey round it out for their calming, traditional skin-recovery reputation.

The details

  • 100% grass-fed, grass-finished tallow, sourced from farms we know by name
  • Indigo (Qing Dai), infused for its centuries-old traditional use on stubborn, scaling skin
  • Gotu kola, a staple of herbal tradition valued for supporting skin renewal
  • Oregon grape root, infused for its deep color and long herbal history with irritated skin
  • Organic calendula and comfrey, infused for their calming, traditional skin-recovery reputation
  • Organic jojoba oil, close in structure to your skin's own sebum
  • Organic beeswax, for breathable barrier protection against wind, cold, and stress
  • No fillers. No synthetics. No fragrance oils standing in for the real thing

How to Use

Warm a small amount between your fingertips until it softens. Press gently into skin and let it absorb.

A little goes a long way. Best applied consistently to targeted areas, once or twice daily. Safe for the whole family.

New to tallow? Give your skin 1–2 weeks to adjust. It is worth it.

A Note on Texture

This balm is dense and concentrated by design — not whipped or aerated. It may soften in heat and firm up in cold. This does not affect quality or effectiveness — it means nothing artificial has been added to stabilize it. The indigo in this formula may also stain light fabrics — allow it to fully absorb before dressing.

Always use clean, dry hands when scooping from the jar.

Our Promise

If your skin doesn't love it, we'll make it right. No hoops, no stress.

100% GRASS FED AND FINISHED - HAND RENDERED

Our grass-fed beef suet comes from two farms we know personally — Prairie Soul and Meats in Ashley, ND, and Svec Farms in South Dakota. Great people who genuinely love and take care of their animals, raising cattle on pasture year-round, moving field to field, eating nothing but grass. Healthy animals raised this way produce a rich, golden tallow, naturally packed with the vitamins and minerals your skin actually needs.

From there, it's all done by hand. Once we pick up our suet, we hand-render it in-house over 3 to 5 days — low and slow, no chemicals, no shortcuts. Just heat, patience, and time. What's left is a beautiful tallow cake, the foundation for everything we make.
